The Borromean Islands are easily reached by boat with public service or taxi boat.
Ferry-boat, bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets are located in the center of Stresa.
Stresa is not only the lake but also the mountains! Magnificent hiking trails and scenic tours invite you to explore the beautiful surrounding mountains on foot. Mount Mottarone, in the hinterland of Stresa, is a wonderful destination with breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Maggiore and the surrounding mountains. Hikers will spend relaxing moments through many interesting paths in the woods and lush alpine meadows. A great outing for a 360 ° breathtaking views recommend the Stresa-Alpino-Mottarone cable car.
